Taddle Creek, 2011:
Presented for Nuit Blanche Toronto, Zone A curator Candice Hopkins
Taddle Creek once ran freely through Toronto, but with increasing development it has been re-routed underground. Made simply by broadcasting the sound of running water, this work is created with multiple radios installed throughout a specific site, each tuned to a transmission emitted by a low watt radio transmitter. This installation highlights part of Taddle Creek, just one of many brooks running silently below the surface of the city, reminding us of the natural world within the urban core.
